Along with encryption enhancements, increased steps were taken to protect against cold boot attacks.

Malware Resistance

Unlike Windows systems of the past, Windows 10 is safer and more secure thanks to Windows Firewall and Windows Defender. Windows Firewall filters all the information coming into your PC from the internet, blocking potentially harmful programs. When you first start your PC, Windows Defender starts scanning for malicious software. It uses real-time protection to monitor everything you download and run on your computer. You can even choose specific folders to scan with Windows Defender.
